My Museum of Business Failures That Ended Up Working Out!
Hey, welcome back. This one is for the ones who’ve been doing "all the right things" in business… and still feeling off.
You know how sometimes you look back at the way you started and think: "WHAT was I doing?"
That’s me. With almost everything I did in the beginning.
But now? I call it my Museum of Misguided Moves — the things I did in business that looked like failures… but actually helped me come home to my Human Design and create everything I have now.
Because I’m a 3rd line — and that means I’m here to learn by trial and error. I’m here to try it all, to touch the stove, to fall down, get back up, and teach from experience — not theory. And if you’ve got that 3rd line in you too? This episode is going to set you free.
So let’s take a little walk through my personal museum.
Exhibit One: The Great Checklist Obsession
I trusted everyone else's formulas, funnels, and checklists.
I downloaded every freebie.
I bought every blueprint.
I followed every guru’s “proven method.”
And in doing that? I completely abandoned my own inner knowing. I tuned out the voice that already knew the answer.
Looking back — this was me ignoring my Sacral authority and outsourcing my power.
But I had to go there… because now I help clients skip that. Because it’s written in my design: I’m built to learn the hard way so I can make the way easier for others.
Exhibit Two: Collaboration Overkill
I said yes to every collaboration.
Every summit, bundle, guest spot, partnership — if someone asked, I said yes.
Because I thought it was what we were supposed to do to grow.
But the truth is — my design is highly individual.
Too much collaboration actually shut off my magic.
It diluted my voice.
It kept me from finding the clarity that ONLY comes when I create on my own first.
Exhibit Three: Chasing External Validation
I lived for the next milestone.
The next rank.
The next launch.
The next income goal.
I didn’t realize it at the time, but I was using those wins to prove something — instead of feeling rooted in my own worth.
That came from the open Heart center in my chart — always feeling like I had to prove I was capable.
Now I know better. And now I coach from that lived experience.
Exhibit Four: Viral Trend Trap
I tried every viral trend.
I twisted my content to fit what was "working."
I wrote hooks that weren’t mine.
I made reels I hated just to keep up.
And guess what? None of them landed the way I hoped.
Because they weren’t ME.
Because I have a defined Throat and Gate 20 — my power is in my voice and my truth, not mimicry.
The moment I stopped following trends and started trusting my response? Everything changed.
Exhibit Five: The Opinion Spiral
I asked everyone else what I should do.
I’d have an idea… then immediately question it.
I’d ask in Voxer. I’d text a biz friend. I’d poll my coach.
Because I didn’t trust my own clarity.
This was me overriding my Authority — and forgetting that my design was already telling me exactly what to do.
Most of the time when we feel stuck? It’s not because we don’t know… it’s because we’re scared of what we already know.
Exhibit Six: Course Hoarding & Knowledge Collecting
Line 1 things, right?
I bought courses I never opened.
I thought, “If I just learn more I’ll finally feel ready.”
But my Line 5 needed more than knowledge — it needed integration.
It needed to use what I learned.
And once I understood that, I stopped learning just to cope with fear — and started applying what actually felt aligned.
Exhibit Seven: Launching From Pressure
I launched from panic.
I launched because someone else was.
I launched because I thought I was "behind."
And it always led to burnout.
This came from my open Root — chasing pressure instead of pacing myself.
Now I teach people to launch from desire — from truth. From energy that actually lasts.
Final Room: What It All Taught Me
Every mistake was an initiation.
Every misstep was wisdom in disguise.
Because my design literally says: You’re going to fail more than most — so others don’t have to.
So if you’ve been hard on yourself for the path you took, let this episode be your permission slip.
You didn’t mess up.
You were learning.
And now? You get to lead.
Wrap-Up:
If you loved this episode and want to explore your own business museum — and how your Human Design explains exactly why those things didn’t work — book a Business By Design call with me. The link is in the show notes.
And if you’re a Line 1, Line 3, or Manifesting Generator? I especially made this for you.
Thanks for listening — now go honor the business you’re designed to build.
